Euphorium Bakery

Amersham News and Reviews Forum - Fri, 02/20/2015 - 17:35

The grand Euphorium Bakery has opened today.  Well, maybe not so grand.  There does appear to be some decent bread there but much of it is the same as before with different labels, and prices.  The old 40p rolls used to be sold at 4 for £1, now they are 3 for 2 - 27p instead of 25p.

But what really amused me was the notice outside.  What are we supposed to imagine - roasted larks' tongues?  Or is a bit of honesty creeping into Tesco marketing and they are admitting that most of their claims are only imaginary?

Possible Delays Gore Hill Amersham To Feb 23

Amersham News and Reviews Forum - Fri, 02/20/2015 - 15:08
The Bucks Free Press are reporting delays on Gore Hill expected from Friday until Monday 23 Feb

http://m.bucksfreepress.co.uk/news/11804051.Motorists_warned_of_delays_in_Amersham_this_week/?ref=rss&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

It appears one lane will be closed for a junction survey. I assume that is a physical survey and not stopping people and asking them questions

Reporting Potholes; Well Done Bcc

Amersham News and Reviews Forum - Fri, 02/20/2015 - 13:46

It is worth reporting potholes through the BCC website, you receive an email acknowledging your reported problem which has a tracking number in the reply and a html link you can track their actions through to resolution.

All four that I reported have all been repaired and the status updated.

Have to say I am impressed with this process and the speed in which they've carried out the repairs.
